The Secret Recipe For Applying To The Best Job Around The World

Your “Like” Can Send Us Around The World As Chief World Explorers

A “Like” is usually overrated and doesn’t have that much of an effect. “Likes”don’t change the world.

The people of the world change it and a “Like” is just part of it… until now!

Alex and I just applied for the Best Job In The World. How did we do it, you may ask?

We made a 60-second video application that you can watch below this post.

Your “Like” will help us win this job so we can travel the world for a year and do what we love: Write about extraordinary stuff and take great photographs. We forgot to mention the voluntourism and $100,000 that comes with the job.

Before we created our 60 second video application to become the Jauntaroo Chief World Explorers, I researched the competition to get an idea of what it’s all about. After watching about 30 videos I was struck by an “Ah Ha” moment.

The deadline was in five days so I had to act fast! Together, my girlfriend and I could take on this position with our talents in writing and photography and join forces to bring Jauntaroo the best of everything, everywhere we go. I forwarded the opportunity to my girlfriend with a gameplan to inject some life into our video.

She has a magical way of telling stories through multimedia and she can arrange footage like the pieces of a puzzle to reveal the “Big Picture”.

The biggest challenge we faced when we started brainstorming our application was how to fit everything we wanted to say inside of a 60 second video clip. Of course we wanted to stand out from the 2,000 job seekers applying for the best job around the world.

I reached for my guitar and pen and jotted down what I like to call some “Travel poetry”. For inspiration, I read some cheesy but nonetheless awesome quotes about traveling and then created my own to which I put to a song I wrote four years ago.

Then my girlfriend asked me to get in bed to shoot the introduction for our video. I could not refuse the opportunity! With the touch of some fast forward effects and Hollywood acting paired with my travel poetry, all that was left to create was a tagline. We very much approached this video as a 60 sec commercial and what’s an ad without a tagline?

We put the rave in travel

…and our mission as Chief World Explorers is to capture each destination to its fullest through writing, photography and videography to bring you the best of everywhere we go.

We met on campus when we lived two houses apart and since then have explored the US and travelled across the world to Romania, where we’ve been living for the last year.

During our job as Chief World Explorer’s with Jauntaroo, we believe two perspectives are better than one. When I’m busy tasting the best beers from every culture, she’ll suggest the best wines. I’ll vlog about my alligator wrestling matches and she’ll report on the most beautiful spas on earth.

Without further ado, we hope you find our video entertaining enough to earn your vote and we want to thank everybody for all of their support.
